The Edo State Police Command has launched an intensive search for a man identified as Wealth Nnamdi, who is accused of brutally murdering his pregnant fiancée, Osasu Loveth Isaac, and her three-year-old daughter, Miracle, in Benin City just days before their scheduled wedding.
Tragic Turn of Events in a Troubled Relationship
The horrific incident occurred on March 16, 2025, at Idiangbona Street, Ovbiogoe Community, following what neighbors described as a heated argument between the couple. Though frequent quarrels between Osasu and Nnamdi were not unusual, no one suspected that this particular dispute would end in tragedy.
According to a local source, the couple had been living together for over three years. Osasu, a single mother before meeting Nnamdi, was already expecting his child, and they had planned to formalize their union with a traditional wedding on March 29, 2025, followed by a church ceremony on April 6.
“She was really excited about the wedding and preparing for it,” a neighbor recalled. “On Sunday, they had another argument, but we didn’t think much of it because they always fought. When the shouting stopped, we assumed they had settled their differences.”
Disturbing Discovery and Police Investigation
However, two days later, neighbors noticed a foul smell coming from the couple’s apartment. Alarmed, they contacted the police, who arrived at the scene on March 18, 2025, around 8:30 pm.
CSP Moses Yamu, spokesperson for the Edo State Police Command, confirmed that officers from the Ekiadolor Division responded to the report. Upon arrival, they found the door locked from the outside. When they forced it open, they discovered the decomposing bodies of Osasu and her daughter inside.
“The woman had a deep cut on her head, suspected to have been inflicted with a machete, while the child was found lifeless on the bed,” Yamu revealed. “The suspect, Wealth Nnamdi, has been missing since the discovery, and all efforts are underway to track him down and bring him to justice.”

Manhunt for the Suspect
The Edo State Police Command has intensified efforts to locate Nnamdi, who fled the scene shortly after the crime. Authorities are urging anyone with information about his whereabouts to come forward.
This heartbreaking incident has left the Ovbiogoe Community in shock, with residents mourning the untimely deaths of Osasu and her young daughter. The case highlights the dangers of domestic violence and the need for early intervention in abusive relationships.
